Any mechanically propelled 4-wheel vehicle designed to work with suitable implements for various field operations and / or trailers to transport agricultural material. Power tillers are included in this category
Construction equipments are special type of vehicles which has to meet the requirements with respect to the road transport regulations and also the safety requirements as a industrial product. CEV’s are designed for off-highway operations in mining, industrial undertaking, irrigation and general construction but modified and manufactured with “ on or off” or “ on and off” highway capabilities.
Government of India has permitted use of CNG (Compressed Natural Gas), LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) , Hybrid technology and LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) as automotive fuels. Accordingly, provisions related to emission, safety, installation and other requirements for permitting such conversion are also notified under Rule 115 of CMVR.
