TEST TRACKS
The Vehicle Test Tracks (VTT) supports in homologation, research and development activities in the area of vehicle dynamics. To facilitate all dynamic tests, Vehicle test tracks at ICAT have following test tracks: –

- ABS Track
- Hill Track
- Comfort Track
- ISO Track
- Water Track
- Dynamic Track
Capabilities
- Oval Test Track: Total Length: 1.85 km, two straight: 735 m, Two curved banking: 220 m & Neutral speed: 80 km/h
- Gradient performance test
- 5 different gradient slabs (3.4°, 5.7°, 7.0°, 10.2° and 15.6°)
- Straight line Brake performance test
- Acceleration/deceleration lanes
- Low µ (basalt lines) 300m long: Nominal PBC of 0.4
- High µ (asphalt) 300m long: Nominal PBC of 0.9
- Steering pad: Radius of 42 m
- Flood track for BOV
- External Noise Test Track: ISO 10844 & IS 3028:1998
- Wet Grip Test Track: Nominal PBC of 0.7 & Length: 300 m
