With ever-increasing public concern over the safety of automotive occupant as well as pedestrians, the safety critical components are evaluated as per the existing and upcoming national and international regulations/standards viz. IS, AIS, ECE, JIS and SAE etc. ICAT specializes in testing of automotive components and is committed to support the automotive industry in carrying out Resarch and Development as well. ICAT is geared up to assist the clients on certification, Type Approval of new models and Conformity of production of old ones which involve drawing, technical specifications and evaluation of various safety critical components e.g. Plastic and Metallic Fuel Tanks, Bumpers, Steering Wheels/Columns, Rear View Mirrors, Tyres, Wheel Rims, Brake Hoses, Door Locks and Hinges etc. with the supporting facilities including environmental test set up per customer specific standards.

The following are the details of various Test Facilities:---

Wheel Rim Test Facility

S.NO TEST FACILITY SPECIFIC CAPABILITY
1. CORNERING FATIGUE TEST FACILITY It is able to cater to testing of almost all the Wheel Rims in the Passenger Car Segment
2. RADIAL FATIGUE TEST AND ENDURANCE It is able to cater to testing of almost all the Wheel Rims in the Passenger Car Segment
3. CORNERING FATIGUE TEST FACILITY (for 2W/3W) Primarily used to test 2 Wheelers and 3 Wheelers Wheel Rims
4. RADIAL FATIGUE TEST AND ENDURANCE (for 2W/3W) Primarily used to test 2 Wheeler and 3 Wheeler Wheel Rims
5. RADIAL IMPACT TEST RIG (for Alloy Wheel Rims) Only used for Two Wheelers Alloy Wheel Rim
6. LEAK TEST FACILITY Leak Test is only done on 2 Wheelers Wheel Rim with which Tubeless Tyres is used

3. PLUNGER & BEAD UNSEATING RESISTANCE TEST RIG Developmental Testing of Pneumatic Tyres as per OEMs standards, IS & ECE Regulations

BRAKE HOSE TEST FACILITY

1. EXPANSION & BURST TEST RIGS FOR HYDRAULIC BRAKE HOSES, CNG & WIRE BRAIDED HOSES Used to test any type of Hose. Used for Developmental Testing as per different OEM standard
2. WHIP TEST RIG FOR HYDRAULIC BRAKE HOSES Used to test any type of Hose. Used for Developmental Testing as per OEM standard

OTHER CERTIFICATION TESTS
